What happens after the tap
You will see
A device picker on the screen. Tap iPhone or Android and the profile is built for the phone in your hand.
You will see
Your display being read, so the dimming fits your own screen, not some generic one.
So it fits my own phone. You will see
Your privacy viewing profile: a side-angle dimming curve, a head-on clarity map, plus auto-on in public places.
Before you use it
Don't use it if
- Your phone has to be read from the side, like a car mount fixed at a slant.
- You often hand the phone around to show photos to the person beside you.
Where it helps
- Trains, buses and waiting rooms, where a stranger is sitting at your elbow.
- Messages, mail and banking you would rather keep private.
Good to know
- The clear view is straight on: hold the phone out in front of you.
- Someone standing right behind you sits in that same line of view.
What we know, what we don't
Known: it's set up for iPhone and Android, and you confirm your device first.
Known: the profile dims the side angles and keeps your head-on view clear, with auto-on in public places.
Known: reading a screen from the next seat has a name, shoulder surfing, and busy places make it easier to stay unnoticed.
Open: how dark the side view goes on your exact model.Watch the dimming curve in your profile once it has read your display.
Open: whether auto-on picks up every place you consider public.Watch the auto-on setting in your profile after your first ride home.
